Grammars may still outshine comprehensives in league tables — they take up the top 20 places of The Times’ latest Power Parent guide — but such schools are few and far between in the capital.
Instead, London is home to more than 500 non or partially selective state secondaries, some of which have shot up the general rankings thanks to strong A-level and GCSE results in the summer.
According to the guide, almost half of the UK’s top 20 are in London.
We’ve matched each of those nine schools with a local home for sale — from a spacious flat in Fulham to a new mews-style house in Camden.
