JIND: The principal of a government girl senior secondary school in Haryana's Jind district, alleged to have sexually assaulted 60 minor girls, has been arrested by a Special Investigation Team (SIT), as confirmed by police officials.
On October 31, the Uchana police filed an FIR against the principal under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Section 354. This action followed the disclosure by around 15 school girls who had written a detailed letter, spanning five pages, addressed to the President, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Justice of India, Haryana Governor, Education Minister, Women's Commission, and other higher authorities. In the letter, they cited instances of sexual assault by the principal, who purportedly threatened to fail them in practical exams and for other undisclosed purposes.
