School holiday tomorrow, September 3: Students and parents across several parts of India are checking whether schools will remain closed on Thursday, September 3, as heavy rain and weather warnings continue across northern and central regions. There is no nationwide school holiday announced for September 3, 2026. Any weather-related closure will depend on decisions by state or district authorities and individual schools.
The India Meteorological Department’s September 2 update forecast heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh on September 3, with West Uttar Pradesh also expected to receive heavy rain. Parents should therefore rely on official district orders and school communications rather than assume a closure.
