School holiday today: No fresh official announcement has been made about school closures across India for September 28, 2026, as of now. However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain, thunderstorms and strong winds in several parts of the country, with heavy to very heavy rainfall likely in some areas of north India.
Several states across central, eastern, northeastern, western and southern India are also expected to receive rainfall on Monday, according to the weather department. Students and parents are advised to check with their respective schools and local authorities for any weather-related closure or change in timings.
