Students and parents are keen to know whether schools will remain closed tomorrow as the ongoing monsoon continues to cause heavy rainfall, waterlogging and landslide risks across several parts of India. As per the latest India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, heavy rain is expected in several regions on August 20, including Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and parts of Uttar Pradesh. However, no official school holiday has been announced for August 20, 2026 so far.
School closures due to adverse weather conditions are typically announced by state governments, district administrations or individual schools, depending on the severity of the situation in a particular area. Parents and students are advised to check official local announcements for the latest updates.
