With the play-in game between the Eastern Conference’s seventh and eighth-seeded teams out of the way with the Cleveland Cavaliers the losers and the Brooklyn Nets the winners, the first-round series between the second-seeded Boston Celtics and the now seventh-seeded Nets can begin in earnest.
And while all but the two soonest tilts in the series of seven contests that will comprise the East series remains without a time for the two teams to tip off, we now know the dates on which the monumental matchup between the two Atlantic Division rivals will take place on between now and the start of the month of May (assuming, of course, all seven games are needed in the best of seven series). With several days off in between some games, the time off may help injured players from both teams return earlier in the postseason than anticipated.
