A group of Brits became stranded atop a 235ft rollercoaster after it appeared to malfunction today as it neared its very steep drop.
The incident took place at Blackpool Pleasure Beach on Sunday afternoon, with a video from the scene showing a carriage coming to a halt at the top of the 235ft The Big One ride.
The clip then shows people walking up the ride using the stairs at the side to get access to the carriage, Manchester Evening News reports.
The video was shared by someone who had just had their turn on the ride.
They shared the video on Twitter, writing: "When you’ve just got off the Big One and the next car gets stuck at the top."
The Big One can be seen from across the Fylde coast due to it's height and prominence on Blackpool's skyline.
This isn't the first time passengers have got stuck on a ride at the park.
On June 2, last year, a dad and a five-year-old boy were among a group of people left stranded at the top of the wooden, twin-track Grand National ride.
In a scathing post on social media he slammed the attraction and called the ordeal "absolutely farcical" after being offered free water, the Mirror reported at the time.
Staff at Pleasure Beach attraction had to climb up the ride, which was built in 1935 and stands 62feet (19m) high, to escort nervous thrill-seekers back to the ground.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach has been approached for comment on today's situation.
Just days ago, another theme park accident saw a screaming child plummeting 30ft from a water slide.
Astonishing footage was captured on video and showed kids at an amusement park in Indonesia fall to the hard ground below.
Sixteen people were taken to hospital after suffering injuries following the terrifying ordeal.
The incident happened at Kenjeran Park, known as Kenpark, in the city of Surabaya in the Indonesian province of East Java on Saturday.
According to local reports, a section of the water slide collapsed and riders plummeted from a height of around 10 metres to the hard ground below.
Local media said the injured people were treated in hospital.
Video footage of the collapse captures the moment children fell to the ground.
In the first video, the section of the water slide is seen collapsing as water cascades onto the ground followed by the sickening thud of people plummeting to the tarmac.
Onlookers screamed in shock as park visitors rush to help the victims.
The second video shows at least one shocked rider sitting on the ground as the collapsed section of the chute is seen lying at the base of the ride.
According to reports, the collapse occurred because the ride had worn out and weakened over time.
