The Scarlets have put together a high quality coaching team which includes former Ireland star Jared Payne and South African World Cup winner Albert van den Berg.
With assistant coaches Ben Franks and Lee Blackett leaving the club at the end of last season, Scarlets head coach Dwayne Peel has moved quickly to find replacements.
Payne, who won 20 caps for Ireland and toured with the 2017 British & Irish Lions, arrives in Llanelli from French giants Clermont Auvergne, and will assume the title of backs and attack coach. Payne has previously worked with Peel while part of Ulster's backroom team during his time in Ireland.

As head coach, former Wales scrum-half Peel is in charge of devising the attacking strategy, as he was throughout the course of last season, with Payne responsible for ensuring it is executed on the field.
With regards van den Berg, he has been appointed forwards coach and joins from the Johannesburg based Lions.
The 49-year-old is regarded as one of the leading forwards and lineout coaches in South Africa rugby, and won 51 caps for the Springboks as a player which included their victorious 2007 World Cup winning campaign.
Van den Berg started his coaching journey with the Sharks Academy as a forwards coach and lineout specialist, rising through the ranks to assistant coach of the senior Vodacom Cup squad.
He had a three-year spell as an assistant coach with his former club the Canon Eagles in Japan before a successful stint in the Currie Cup with Griquas.
The Scarlets have also appointed Ulster's Shane Carney as Head of Athletic Performance, replacing the highly-rated Nigel Ashley-Jones, who has joined Eddie Jones' backroom team with the Wallabies.
Carney is currently Athletic Performance and Reconditioning Coach at Ulster, where he also worked alongside Peel. He had previously been Head of Strength and Conditioning at Hull Kingston Rovers rugby league side.
The rest of the coaching team will remain the same with former Wales coach Gareth Williams in charge of the defence, and Emyr Phillips contact skills and scrum coach.
“Albert, Jared and Shane are exciting additions to our coaching team and we look forward to welcoming them to Parc y Scarlets this summer," said Peel.
“I know Jared and Shane well from my time with Ulster. I worked with Jared for three and a half years and he is a quality coach who will be great for our talented crop of young players, in particular. Similarly, Shane, who is a highly-rated performance coach with a real focus on detail.
“Albert brings with him a wealth of experience from his time coaching in Japan and South Africa. He has the experience of playing more than 50 Tests for the Springboks and comes here with a real pedigree as one of the most highly regarded forwards and lineout coaches in South Africa.
“I’d also like to thank Ben Franks for everything he has done for the Scarlets. Franksy has been influential in developing a pack culture here and also bringing through an exciting pool of young front five forwards that we have at the club. We wish him well with the next chapter of his career back in New Zealand.”
