Scarlett Moffatt sparked concern amongst Scared of the Dark viewers and one of her co-stars on Tuesday night, after being forced to seek medical help when she was struck down with pain during a 'brutal' punishment on the terrifying new Channel 4 show.
Along with other famous faces like Paul Gascoigne, Max George and Chris Eubank, former Gogglebox star and I'm A Celebrity winner Scarlett is one of the contestants in the groundbreaking and very unnerving new show, which sees the celebs put into a pitch black space called The Bunker and told to live there for 180 hours.
If the going gets too tough for any of them, they can shout 'I'm Scared of the Dark' and be released back into the light and the real world, but showing some of the grit that led to her being crowned Queen of the Jungle back in 2016, Scarlett seems determined to go the distance.
However, things took a concerning turn for the County Durham born TV personality, after she and comedian and actress Donna Preston, were condemned to the Black Hole by Chris Eubank and Chris Macausland, after they won a task but could only save two of the other couples from the punishment.
As Scarlett struggled to get any sleep in her cage like for the night, she started experiencing severe back pain, telling the camera: "The pain's too much when I'm lying down. I think I've tried every sleep position going."
A tearful Scarlett was then seen, still in the pitch black, being attended to by a medic, telling him: "It's all down here, like it hurts when I'm breathing."
After the medic left the set, Scarlett then commented: "I don't like quitting anything, so I think I need to give it time for the painkillers to kick in. Don't worry about me, I'm tough as nails."
