SC’s Tim Scott launches exploratory committee for 2024 presidential run

COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina U.S. Sen Tim Scott has launched an exploratory committee for a 2024 presidential run.

Scott made the news official Wednesday. The Charleston Post and Courier was first to report the news Tuesday.

In a video posted to social media, with Scott speaking from Fort Sumter where the Civil War started, Scott spoke about how the country again is divided.
