HYDERABAD: Former India Test captain Mohd Azharuddin's 'controversial and troubled' reign as president of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) 'finally' ended on Tuesday with the Supreme Court appointing Justice L Nageswara Rao, retired SC judge, as a single member committee to clean up the mess in the cricket body and to oversee the process of conducting the pending elections.
The decision also means that the four-member supervisory committee, headed by Justice (retd) NA Kakru, which was tasked last year with the job of resolving issues in the HCA, has been eased out.
