A shrewd homebuyer who snapped up a rundown house for just £1 has shared its stunning transformation.
Maxine Sharples said she was "effectively homeless" while undertaking the mammoth project. Working away through the sold off dilapidated houses, Maxine had to do much of the labour herself.
She put in the nominal bid back in 2015 under a scheme which new home cheaply. Under the novel scheme, homeowners must agree to use their own money and resources to renovate.
