A savvy bride-to-be claims she will fund her wedding by buying only from Asda's Just Essentials range - slashing her grocery bill by a whopping £4,000 a year. Larayne-maye Elcombe was stunned when a weekly supermarket sweep of the value range to feed her family of four came to just £34.60 - compared to her usual £80 to £120 bill.
The 28-year-old had never shopped at Asda before but after their bargain range hit the shelves in its bright packaging, she decided to give it a go. The carer and student paramedic said if she sticks to buying from the range feeding fiancé Joe Mitchell, 31, and kids Abigail, 10, and Fred, six, she'll save a whopping £4,000 per year.
The mum-of-two plans to put the extra cash to good use and put it towards her July 2023 wedding. Larayne-maye, from Crawley, West Sussex, said: "I normally shop at Tesco or Aldi.
