Savings expert issues relatively unknown freezer advice to help you save on energy bills

Fridges and freezers can't be turned off while they're filled - but there is a way you can save energy while these appliances are in use.

You can make your freezer work more efficiently so it's not costing you as much money and can help you to reduce energy bills. Savings expert at discounts platform Deal.Town, Sam Whillance, has shared a handy tip that involves stocking your freezer as much as possible with bags full of water.

Sam said that "stocking up your freezer can save money in several ways" as keeping it full and compact reduces energy consumption, rather than leaving lots of space, reports the Express. He noted that keeping the freezer full can make it work more efficiently and keep bills down so it is essential people fill up their freezer.
