The Saudi Culture Ministry is set on Thursday to launch a two-day singing festival themed ‘Classical Arabic Singing’, which will witness the participation of many prominent Arab singers who will perform poems and songs in classical Arabic.
Aimed at celebrating the classical Arabic language, the festival is sponsored by the ‘Quality of Life Program’, one of the Saudi Vision 2030 programs, providing culture, entertainment, and immersive experiences that enhance the audience’s connection to the Arabic language. It also contributes to the ministry’s efforts to support the language and promote its value in the society.
The festival is scheduled at the Abu Bakr Salem Theater, Riyadh Boulevard City, on May 12-13. Lotfi Bouchnak, Jahida Wehbe, and Bader Hakeem, will be performing on the first day, and Kadim Al- Sahir, and Zeina Imad, on the second.
