Saudi authorities foiled an attempt to smuggle over 2,015,116 captagon pills hidden in containers shaped as tomatoes and pomegranates on Friday.
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority said the operation was thwarted at Al Haditha port in Saudi Arabia on Friday.
According to authorities the tablets were found during a routine inspection of one of the vehicles entering Al-Wadiah port.
The Saudi authorities affirmed that it will continue to tighten customs control over Saudi imports and exports, and to fight against such attempts by smugglers, to achieve the security of society and protect it from these criminal acts.
