Riyadh will host the Saudi Light and Sound (SLS) Expo, scheduled for May 16-18, in the first event dedicated to professional 3D lighting and sound equipment.
The event is launched as a platform that enables participants to see, hear, and experience the latest technologies and illuminating innovations in lighting, sound, and audiovisuals.
The three-day event will celebrate two of the most effective sensory mechanisms that evoke the most robust response, placing the Kingdom as a certified center for providing solutions, ranging from lighting, audio, and video to equipment, sound production, on-site management, and consultation.
Saudi Arabia plans to invest up to $64 billion to bring new advanced innovations in the entertainment sector.
SLS Event Director Sarkis Kahwajian said the event is a platform that brings together lighting and audiovisual system integrators and distributors, wholesalers with retailers of lighting, sound, and audiovisual products.
It will also include platforms for real estate developers, project owners, venues, installers, and end-users such as hotels and restaurants, offices, theme parks, amusement parks, entertainment and concert venues, stadiums, auditoriums, airports, educational facilities, retail outlets, shopping malls, and religious venues.
Kahwajian noted that the event would host the most prominent leaders from the sector to exchange ideas and experiences to explore potential business opportunities.
The event brings together brilliant minds from various industries.
Speakers at the SLS include Jasper Hope from the Royal Commission of Riyadh City, Abdul Wahab Baghdadi from the Professional Events Industry Association, Majed Samman from the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra), and Tahani al-Ghureiby from the Saudi Ministry of Culture.
Director of Business Development of NMK Group Dino Dreamax said that the Kingdom’s needs are growing and changing in its transformational stage, and there is a noticeable change in ideas and in cultural and economic trends.
