The Saudi Interior Ministry announced that it has carried out the death sentence against two nationals over their ties to a terrorist cell. (Asharq Al-Awsat)

The Saudi Interior Ministry announced that it has carried out the death sentence against two nationals from the eastern region over their ties to a terrorist cell.

It identified them as Hussein bin Ali Al Bou Abdullah and Mohammed bin Khodr bin Hashem al-Awami.

A Yemeni, Mohammed Abdul Baset al-Mouallimi, was also executed for joining the terrorist Houthi militias and entering Saudi Arabia illegally to carry out terrorist acts and espionage.

The ministry said Al Bou Abdullah, along with other terrorists, was involved in the killing of a member of the security forces. He was also found guilty of funding terrorist acts and receiving weapons and ammunition to carry out attacks.

Al-Awami was found guilty of joining a terrorist cell, stirring instability and riots, attacking security forces with deadly intent and damaging public property.

He stored weapons and explosives at his home and constantly provided supplies to the cell.

Al Bou Abduallah and al-Awami were executed in the eastern region and Mouallimi in the Riyadh region on Saturday.

The Interior Ministry underscored the keenness of the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on consolidating security and achieving justice.

It warned everyone against deigning to commit terrorist acts, saying they will be dealt with according to Sharia law.
