Cammy Elliott admits Sauchie blew East Kilbride away and bullied them out of the South Challenge Cup quarter-final.
But the 22-year-old striker says Kilby just have to dust themselves down and come back all guns blazing when Berwick Rangers visit K-Park on Tuesday.
Sauchie dumped Kilby out of the cup with goals from Ross Crawford and Brian Morgan, to set up a semi-final with Auchinleck Talbot, and former Stranraer star Elliott says Kevin Rutkiewicz's side didn't really lay a glove on their East of Scotland League opponents.
He said: "I think the better team takes the victory, to be honest.
"We did have a few chances, wee Danny McManus had a chance in the first half, Oldy [Steven Old] had a header across the face of goal, but overall they were the better side.
"They bullied us, we weren't at it at all, and you can blame things like a new manager coming in and stuff like that, but I think we were miles off it.
"Everybody needs to work hard and we need to stick by each other. That's probably what we were missing, we didn't stick by each other or win our tackles, and that's what you need to do to start with before you can play.
"They blew us away, on and off the ball, and just bulled us, but we need to dust ourselves down. I'm sure we will, and come back stronger on Tuesday."
Elliott says it's good that Kilby have back-to-back Lowland League clashes against Berwick Rangers on Tuesday and Bo'ness United on Saturday, because it gives them a chance to make amends.
He said: "We can't chuck it now, we don't have many games left in the season and we just need to go out on a high.
"Obviously it's hard, we were on a good run and that's over now, but we just need to dust ourselves down and come back in on Tuesday, get a win, and try to finish as high in the league as we can."
