Irish bar in Scots city claims ‘discrimination’ after 75 noise complaints in two years
The operators of an award winning Irish pub in Glasgow have claimed they are being discriminated against after being hit with repeated noise complaints.
Between March 2020 and February 2022, Connolly’s Bar has received 75 objections from the same ten complainers.
Council officers have attended the premises and met with residents on a number of occasions over the past two years to find amplified noise coming from the premises.

Ed Sheeran congratulates Scots couple 'on cloud nine' after they get engaged at Hampden gig
A Scots couple are on 'cloud nine' after getting engaged at Ed Sheeran's Hampden Park concert on Thursday night.
Alea Carr travelled to Glasgow from Kirkcaldy, Fife, with her partner of six months JJ McDonell to see the hitmaker, who she has been a 'massive' fan of since the age of 11.
The 22-year-old had been looking forward to the event since September, when her mum surprised her with tickets for her birthday.
Student misses out on £182m EuroMillions win after bank account only had £2.50 in it
A teenager who thought she had won a £182m EuroMillions jackpot was left “absolutely heartbroken” after discovering the ticket purchase didn’t go through.
Student Rachel Kennedy immediately called her mum and boyfriend Liam McCrohan, 21, into the room to break the amazing news before discovering the devastating error.
The 19-year-old, from Hertfordshire, only had £2.50 in her bank account meaning the ticket was not automatically bought prior to the draw as it usually was.

A firefighter has spoken out on her struggles with an invisible illness that affects every aspect of her life - from work to dating .
Catherine Hopkins was just 27 when she started experiencing symptoms including chronic fatigue, stomach pain and swollen joints.
She was also passing blood every time she went to the bathroom - but was too embarrassed to seek medical help over it.

An alien researcher claims that he is living in a 'UFO hotspot' and has been abducted 'at least 60 times'.
Russ Kellett, 58, says that Filey is abuzz with extraterrestrial activity and that he has documented several incidents over the years, including his own footage of alleged 'alien' craft sightings
The former Bradford businessman and long-standing UFO investigator says that he was first abducted aged 16 and has since been made to fight aliens as a 'super soldier'.
