Saturday Night Takeaway descended into chaos tonight as Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly played Ring My Bell.
Just moments into tonight's episode of the ITV entertainment show, chaos ensued as Ant and Dec played Ring My Bell for the last time this series. As part of the segment, those in the studio audience have to jump up and shout 'ding dong that's my doorbell' if they recognise the two presenters have tapped into their ring doorbell.
Their neighbours are then tasked with finding an item in their own home before running to the person's doorbell and presenting the item by shouting 'ring my bell' for a chance to win themselves and their neighbour £500.
However, things quickly descended into chaos during the most recent episode as Ant and Dec noticed a woman lurking near the house. Puzzled, they thought she was extra eager to get involved but it turned out she was just trying to visit her neighbour.
As they asked her who she was, she kept repeating her name was Cynthia, seemingly puzzled that Ant and Dec were speaking to her when she'd expected her neighbour to be the one that was home.
When they asked if she had her dirty laundry with her, as per their request for the game,
People could then be seen rushing behind Cynthia with the laundry and trying to get past her to ring the bell, but she wouldn't move away. Even with Ant and Dec's requests for her to move, she seemed confused and continued to stay there.
Fans rushed to social media to praise Cynthia for being such a key part of the show - even if she wasn't expecting it.
"Cynthia deserves that £500 - laughed so much #SaturdayNightTakeaway," one wrote on Twitter, as a second viewer of the show added: "@antanddec hope Cynthia gets a place on the plane!! #SaturdayNightTakeaway."
A third shared: "Poor Cynthia's just become a national celebrity in 45 seconds just for turning up at her neighbour's #saturdaynighttakeaway," as a fourth added: "Cynthia needs a place on the plane #SaturdayNightTakeaway."
"And the whole of the UK has fallen in love with #cynthia on #RingmyBell @itvtakeaway #SaturdayNightTakeaway," a fifth wrote, as a sixth shared: "Tv gold Cynthia knocking next door at the exact moment #SaturdayNightTakeaway."
