Saturday Kitchen fans in hysterics as chef has to be told what rude word means

Saturday Kitchen viewers were left in hysterics after a TV chef swore live on air, and had no idea what she had said. Host Matt Tebbutt had to apologise to viewers after Poppy O'Toole used the word more than once - and said he would explain the meaning to her off air.

TikTok star Poppy was cooking for celebrity guest Alesha Dixon and being interviewed by Matt at the same time. Poppy explained that her cooking career took off when she was let go from her job and went on to garner a huge following of four million fans on TikTok thanks to potato-inspired posts.

After being asked about her rise to fame on the social media site, Poppy meant to tell Matt that she won her following “on a whim”, but accidentally used said a similar sounding word starting with 'Q' instead. Poppy used the word three times while Matt quickly corrected her.

Poppy asked what the word meant, but Matt moved on. The word is slang for femal genitalia.

He later turned to the camera and offered his apology, saying he would tell Poppy what she had said, reports The Mirror.

One fan wrote on Twitter:"'Whats a ****?' Best thing ever asked on Saturday morning TV.”

Another wrote: "Poppy right now not having a CLUE what she said lmao."

A fourth added in: "Wonderful wonderful scenes as the word **** gets said twice instead of whim on #SaturdayKitchen. Highlight of the year so far."
