Satirical statue of a naked Trump unveiled at European Parliament in Strasbourg

  • An eight-foot gold statue titled The Orange Plague , depicting Donald Trump fully naked and perched on the shoulders of a smaller man, has been unveiled at the European Parliament building in Strasbourg.
  • Created by Danish sculptor Jens Galschiøt, the 23-karat gold-leaf installation serves as a “satirical outcry” against Trump's foreign policy and climate change stance.
  • The sculpture features Trump holding a golf club, a globe-shaped ball, and scales, sitting atop a base inscribed with a satirical pledge about global inequality.
  • Danish MEP Per Clausen defended the exhibition, saying that anyone unable to tolerate the sculpture being displayed has no place on the world stage.
  • The artwork is scheduled to be exhibited at the UN COP31 Climate Conference in Turkey in November.
