The late Satinder Kumar Lambah's memoir ‘In Pursuit of Peace: India-Pakistan Relations Under Six Prime Ministers’ was launched by his wife, Nina Lambah, at The Lalit in New Delhi recently. The book was released along with former diplomats Shivashankar Menon, G Parthasarathy, TCA Raghavan, and Sharat Sabharwal, and journalist Dr. C Raja Mohan on April 12, 2023.
Nina Lambah started the event by holding a moment of silence in respect for the late author. Satinder Kumar Lambah had served two tenures in Pakistan as Deputy Chief of Mission and High Commissioner; was Chairman of National Security Advisory Board; Special Representative for Afghanistan under Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and later Special Envoy for backchannel talks with Pakistan under Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for a decade. After leaving the Government, he continued to lead Track II dialogue with several key countries. He passed away in June 2022. The audience at the book launch consisted of diplomats, journalists and others who had worked with and known the late author.
