New satellite images show a Russian boat fleeing a missile attack off the coast of Ukraine's Snake Island.
The photos, taken by Maxar Technologies, show a Russian Serna-class landing craft making evasive manoeuvres near smoke contrails expected to be from missiles fired towards the vessel.
Both Russia and Ukraine have reported renewed fighting around Snake Island in recent days as the battle for control continues in the Black Sea.
Last week, Ukraine's defence ministry claimed to have destroyed a Serna-class landing ship with a Bayraktar TB2 drone.
The new photos show a sunken boat near a barge with a heavy-lift crane.
Photos also show recent damage to buildings on Snake Island, which achieved worldwide fame early in the war when Ukrainian border guards stationed there rejected a Russian warship's demand for their surrender.
"Russian warship, go f**k yourself," one soldier said.
Satellite images reveal destruction in Odessa
Russian attacks have been targeting the port of Odessa in Ukraine's west in recent days, attacking airfield infrastructure to prevent Ukrainian forces from operating effectively.
The Grand Pettine Hotel, which is located at the beach by the Black sea, has been destroyed by a missile.
A building at Odessa Airport has also been damaged, with dark remnants of the attack seen at the bottom of the photo in the middle.
There has also been reports of damage to a runway at the airport in recent weeks.
