Parts of the sea are being covered with 'dark layers of oil' - (Reuters)

Dark layers of oil are spreading at sea from a damaged tanker off the coast of the United Arab Emirates, forcing more beaches to close.

Satellite images from the European Union’s Copernicus show that the oil spill has widened over the last few days, reaching close to the shores of the northern Umm Al Quwain emirate.
