New Delhi: Satellite communications will play an important complementary role to terrestrial networks by delivering services to remote and difficult-to-reach areas in India, TRAI Chairman AK Lahoti said on Monday.

Lahoti said that the regulator had clearly articulated the importance of satcom for the country in its recommendations made to the government.
