This tot is such a 'daddy's girl' that she refused to pose for her first Christmas photo shoot - until he lay hidden under a blanket with her perched on top of him. Phoebe Felix and her fiancé Dale Mason, 29, decided to book their 15-month-old daughter in for a festive photo session.
The 29-year-old mum sat a tartan-clad Rosie-Lena Mason down in front of a cosy fireplace backdrop ready for the snaps - but claims the 'daddy's girl' began to scream when Dale exited the shot. After minutes of trying to placate their adorable tot, admin assistant Phoebe then suggested Dale lie on the floor covered in a blanket with Rosie-Lena perched on top.
In a heartwarming clip shared online, the couple's photographer friend Andy Rock, who owns A Rock Media, can be seen expertly wielding the camera while a giggling Phoebe tries to coax Rosie-Lena to look towards the lens. As the Christmas decorations glisten in the background, laser engineer Dale can be heard desperately shouting his daughter's name so their photoshoot fee doesn't go to waste.
The video, which was shared on TikTok, has racked up more than 2.6 million views and more than 330,000 likes and comments. Phoebe, from Oldham, Greater Manchester, said: "Rosie has a really good relationship with her dad and she's a proper daddy's girl. He can't go anywhere without her.
"Every time he left the photoshoot she cried and screamed. We thought 'what can we do to get her to have a picture on her own?' We threw a blanket over him and I couldn't stop laughing."
The couple had booked in Rosie-Lena's first photoshoot as the little girl was too young last Christmas - enlisting her godfather Andy to take the special snaps. Phoebe said: "Her godfather is a professional photographer. He's got his own company and he just asked if we'd like to do a Christmas photoshoot.
"The photos were taken in our house with the [backdrop brought along by Andy]. Rosie-Lena wasn't impressed, I couldn't get a picture with just me there because she just cried. There was a blanket next to Dale and I said 'why don't we just try and put the blanket over you?' We sat her on him and it worked.
"I think he would have done anything to stop her crying to be honest. That's why she's such a daddy's girl - he just does everything for her. Baby Shark was on the Alexa. [That's] another coping mechanism.
"We had to pay for the shoot and we were worried we wouldn't get any pictures because she wasn't playing ball, but we managed to get a few. I said to Dale 'when she's 16 and she's storming out the house saying she hates him, I'll show her that video and say well you didn't used to'."
After posting the video on social media, Phoebe says they were surprised when people loved it. Phoebe said: "Everyone started laughing at the video when I showed them. I didn't think it would get as many views as it did but everyone loved it."
Dale, who can be heard in the clip shouting Rosie's name, joked he didn't want to lose £50 because his daughter wouldn't sit still. Dale said: "She wouldn't chill or sit still there. Phoebe just said to me 'why don't you get under the blanket and see if she'll sit still?'
"I didn't expect I'd go viral on TikTok. I was just lay there thinking 'how is this happening?' It was £50 that photoshoot. I thought she had better be still because we'd paid good money for that. It was a bit chaotic so it was just a mad idea at the time.
"It's so funny because you can hear Baby Shark in the background. We tried loads of things to get her to chill and it just happened to work with me laid under the blanket. The best thing is that you can see my feet sticking out."
