Sassy girl hailed 'future PM' at age FIVE after giving Boris Johnson stern reality check

A sassy schoolgirl who went viral for her wise words on why Boris Johnson was "naughty" was today hailed as the next Prime Minister as she appeared on TV to declare he "needs to leave".

Five-year-old Layla Somani went viral last week with her astute explanation of the nation's fury over the Tories' lockdown parties in Downing Street, which she shared with her grandparents Kanti Somani, 76, and Kusun Somani, 73.

The young girl didn't hold back when she told them Mr Johnson "is not a prime minister anymore, he's a bad prime minister".

And today the wise-beyond-her years tot performed a star turn on Sky News, where presenter Sarah-Jane Mee asked her what the Prime Minister did wrong.

Smart Layla replied simply: "He went to a party in lockdown."

Layla also confirmed she stuck to the rules herself during lockdown, and her fourth birthday party was held on Zoom.

Sarah-Jane then asked if Layla forgave the PM for the parties. The thoughtful girl replied "yes" and said it was because "he gave everyone an injection on the arm", in reference to the vaccine program.

However, when asked what should happen to Mr Johnson, little Layla didn't mince her words when she declared: "I think he should leave because he has been naughty".

Parents Devina Somani, 37, and Nick Somani, 41, filmed the cutthroat monologue and were sat beside her today as she gave her blistering verdict.

Her comments have left many online hailing her as the "next PM".

One wrote: "Layla for Prime Minsiter! She doesn't need luck, she knows the rules."

Another wrote: "Fantastic! Layla talks more sense than Boris. I’d vote for her to be the next Prime Minister."

A third chimed in: "May God bless her, she speaks more sense than the grown-up politicians especially our PM."

In last week's video, which has been viewed thousands of times, Layla told her doting grandparents: " Boris Johnson told everyone to stay at home, but in lockdown he just went down to a party, in the lockdown. He's been naughty, so he had to go to the naughty centre to tell everyone he's sorry for going to a party in lockdown."

She continued: "Now he can't be prime minister anymore and he can't go back to his prime minister home, so he's not prime minister anymore. So, someone else is being prime minister and there will be a good prime minister, but Boris Johnson is not a prime minister anymore, he's a bad prime minister".

Mr Johnson may be forgiven by Layla, but he still faces calls to quit after continuing allegations of rule-breaking parties in No10 and further accusations he has lied to Parliament.

Yesterday, he claimed "nobody told me" that a boozy lockdown bash in the Downing Street garden broke Covid rules.

He broke cover for the first time in days to insist that he hadn't lied to Parliament about the event in May 2020, which he has admitted attending for 25 minutes.

Last week, the PM admitted to MPs that he briefly attended a BYOB gathering in the No 10 garden on May 20 2020 - but tried to claim he thought it was a work event.
