New SAS: Who Dares Wins star Rudy Reyes has been slammed for his pants show debut.
The new chief inspector was variously compared to a WWE wrestler, action man Chuck Norris and camp interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.
Dubbed the “Steven Seagal of the special forces” by one fan, Rudy infuriated his colleagues by constantly being in his boxers while filming.
And viewers were bemused to see the hardman, who has replaced axed Ant Middleton on the series, permanently half naked.
One scoffed: “Rudy is a right tart isn’t he strutting about in his pants.”
But his new colleagues are already used to, if not exactly enamored by his semi-nakedness.
“He’s always in his pants, f***ing does my head in,” grumbles DS Foxy.
“He probably would do the challenges in his pants if he could.
“He doesn’t love being fully naked, he still has a bit of coyness about him.
“None of us are really bothered about being naked, but there’s a time and a place for it.”
Foxy blames his preening on him being from the US.
“That’s the American in him,” he explains.
“I’m sure that’s going to cause a bit of a stir, let’s see how that goes down...”
