SAS: Who Dares Wins is back with 'Jungle Hell' as 20 new recruits land in Vietnam

SAS: Who Dares Wins is set to return in a new location with brand new contestants and challenges.

It’s time for 20 new recruits to be put to the brutal new test of the punishing jungle phase of SAS selection in Vietnam.

The new series titled, SAS: Who Dares Wins – Jungle Hell will land on Channel 4 on Monday 23 January at 9pm, and the platform have revealed a first look at the new show.

For 6 weeks, viewers can tune in for weekly instalments of the gruelling new tests of endurance, resilience and strength.

Fan favourite Special Forces staff who are on-hand to help the recruits navigate the new challenges are set to return including Jason ‘Foxy’ Fox alongside Rudy Reyes, Chris Oliver and Chief Instructor Billy Billingham.

Speaking to the Mirror last year Foxy, 44, explained that getting through these physical trials is a major mental challenge too both in the show for the newbies, and in the field.

"Mental strength plays a huge role - I'd say it's 70/30. You can be physically robust but it's all in the brain,” he said.

"Some of the stuff you do in the Special Forces is f***king bonkers. When you sit down and actually think about it, it's got everything to do with your mind."

Matthew Ollerton, who appeared on the show, alongside him, agreed: "Your mind gives up way before your body. It's all in your head. Your brain always looks out to protect you."

In 2022, SAS: Who Dares Wins saw its first all-female final as Shylla and Paige both made it through the gruelling weeks of intense trials.

At the time, Rudy congratulated the finalists and said: "What you need to pass this course is strength, grit, resilience and the spirit to drive on.

"You've all excelled, these men behind me and myself, we think two of you right now could fall in with us on operation and win the day."

He praised all four semi-finalists as anyone who makes it to that stage is a “machine.”
