If you're thinking 'how can I prolong the joy of Happy Valley' now that the already iconic BBC drama series has come to an end, there's one unusual way to keep that flame burning for the Sally Wainwright drama.
Lead star, Sarah Lancashire created a parting gift for her co-stars and the crew of Happy Valley - a candle. The Catherine Cawood actress, who millions of Happy Valley fans saw triumph in the final tense, emotion-filled and brilliant stand-off with James Norton's Tommy Lee Royce in the last ever episode, visited Hebden Bridge candle shop, The Yorkshire Soap Company, to create a very special present for the entire cast and crew Yorkshire Live reports.
It's the town the show was filmed in, along with the rest of glorious and grubby Yorkshire backdrop, and, though you can't buy the candle, the Soap Company are running a competition to win one on their Instagram. Posting about their A-list collaboration, they wrote: "Some of you may know Happy Valley is set in our home town of Hebden Bridge and filmed across the wonderful county of Yorkshire! Whilst filming in town we had the pleasure of welcoming the amazing Sarah Lancashire into our shop, and over the summer of 2022 we worked together on a special gift from her to the entire cast and crew for wrapping the final season. A very Yorkshire Happy Valley Candle."

The candle's label also includes a quote from Sergeant Cawood herself that read: "I'm the best copper that ever lived but Code 11 ... job done." The company also revealed that Sarah donated her police hat and shoulder numbers from season three which helped raise £4,500 at a charity event organised by The Halifax Ukrainian Club.
The company added: "She deserves every award possible for her work on this brilliant series, and like the whole country, we'll be glued to the TV this Sunday for the final episode."
Millions tuned in for the tense, 70-minute conclusion to the stellar bit of UK TV drama which, over 18 episodes spread across almost 10 years, told the story of Lancashire's Cawood, her grandson Ryan (Rhys Connah) and Tommy Lee Royce, Ryan's biological dad and the rapist of Cawood's late daughter, Becky. The cat and mouse game between the two main characters came to a head in Cawood's kitchen where the villain finally realises that Ryan is best off where he is, stops himself from burning the house down and doesn't want Catherine going to prison for tasering him while covered in petrol, because ultimately he loves Ryan.
