The Briefing
- Azul Conecta will launch the first scheduled commercial flights from São Paulo's Campo de Marte airport on December 27, 2026 — ending a 90-plus-year absence of passenger airline service at the historic Zona Norte airfield.
- A nine-seat Cessna 208B Grand Caravan turboprop will connect Campo de Marte to Angra dos Reis and Jacarepaguá daily through January 3, with Carnival-period frequencies returning February 6–10, 2027, alongside a new Belo Horizonte–Angra dos Reis link.
- The launch cements Campo de Marte as São Paulo's fourth commercial airport — and the only one in the city's northern zone — giving Zona Norte residents a direct departure point for the first time in living memory.
