Santa Fe Mourns Loss Of Actor Gene Hackman

Santa Fe, New Mexico, known for its picturesque Rocky Mountain foothills and as a haven for celebrities seeking refuge, was shaken this week by the tragic news of the passing of Oscar-winner Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, inside their home in the serene foothills.

The couple, who had long embraced a low-key lifestyle in Santa Fe, joined a community that includes other renowned artists and actors such as Sam Shepard, Shirley MacLaine, Ali MacGraw, and George R. R. Martin.
