Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Sanjay Malhotra on Wednesday said it is "premature" to discuss interest rate hikes, stressing that policymakers continue to face elevated uncertainty from global developments and will remain guided by incoming economic data.
Speaking to ET Now, Malhotra said the central bank's decision earlier this month to retain its policy stance at "neutral" reflected the uncertainty surrounding the economic outlook.
