South Australia have dismissed NSW for 294 but not before Blues captain Jason Sangha could carve an impressive 142 in their Sheffield Shield showdown.
Sangha stuck strong to post his highest first-class score as wickets tumbled around him, one of just four Blues players to make more than seven runs in the first innings in Adelaide.
NSW then made an early breakthrough in Thursday's opening session, with Chris Tremain finding an edge from debutant Bailey Capel as the Redbacks went to lunch at 1-12 in reply.
Having started the day at 6-243, Tremain fell early by nicking Brendan Doggett through to Harry Nielsen for before debutant Jordan Buckingham got Trent Copeland in the same fashion soon after.
Sangha, who'd brought up his 100 on day one, dominated the Blues' final wicket partnership and smacked 12 runs off one Nathan McAndrew over before he was last man out when he was caught behind.
Buckingham (4-79) and Doggett (3-58) shared the bulk of the wickets for the hosts.
The Redbacks will resume their innings with captain Henry Hunt (nine not out) and Jake Carder (two not out).
