Hello and welcome to a new episode of “So You Think Being a Hitter in MLB is Easy!?”
This is where we here at For The Win show you a highlight of a ridiculous pitch by a professional pitcher that is absolutely unhittable and makes us happy that we’re not paid to try to hit pitches like these.
Last week we showed you a 99 mph two-seamer by Seattle’s Luis Castillo that looked like it was powered by a remote control.
Today we have a 100 mph sinker by Miami’s Sandy Alcántara that had so much movement that fans didn’t know what to think of it.
Check this out:

What are you supposed to do with that!?
Alcántara went on to pitch a complete game (his fifth of the season!) in which he gave up just one run to the Nationals to get the win and he now has my vote for NL Cy Young. I don’t really get a vote for that but whatever, he’s awesome.
Twitter had reactions.
That's just ridiculous.. https://t.co/qAKMJcbGFG

This is a good example as to why you would NOT use catcher's position, nor location of his glove, to try to establish the intended location.
For all we know, catcher is providing a reference point. For exaggerated examples: think about curling, or a sloping green for putting. https://t.co/kOA8nMdPcz pic.twitter.com/rE3QhthrLK
