Sandra Redknapp speaks of her pride at watching her youngest son Jamie marry his partner Frida in an intimate ceremony at Chelsea Registry Office last October.
In exclusive extracts from Harry and Sandra's book, when Harry Met Sandra, the mother-of-two, 74, says all she ever wanted was to see her footballer son Jamie "happy", following the devastating breakdown of his marriage to Louise.
Sharing behind-the-scenes details from the nuptials, Sandra reveals how Jamie only let his closest family in on the secret he and pregnant Frida were getting married.
Detailing how the footballer, 49, "isn't into the showbiz world", Sandra says Jamie had been with mother-of-four Frida just over a year when they announced they were expecting a baby, with their whirlwind romance going from strength-to-strength.
"Jamie and Frida’s wedding was a small ceremony with just 30 close family and friends including Charley and Beau, Mark and Lucy, and Frank and Christine," she recalls.
"Frida looked absolutely beautiful. Her dress was stunning. It was an off the shoulder dress and her and her bump looked all nice and neat. It was a classic dress and suited her perfectly.
"And Jamie looked handsome in his navy suit and tie. After the service, we all went to Scott’s restaurant in Mayfair for dinner in a private dining room.
"It was relaxed and everyone really enjoyed themselves. I remember thinking about how happy they looked when Jamie and Frida cut their cake. There was a smile between them.
"It is lovely to see Jamie happy, it is all Harry and I can ask for. All we want is for our boys to be happy. That is all we have ever wanted."
The couple later welcomed son Rafael, with the family calling him Rafa, for short.
The wedding day marked the second marriage for both Jamie and Frida.
The football star was previously married to pop songstress Louise, 46, between 1998 and 2018 – with the couple splitting not long after the singer was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing in 2016.
Meanwhile, Frida was previously married to American hedge fund manager, Jonathan Lourie – who previously featured on The Sunday Times Rich List in 2013 and is said to be worth £80 million.
Frida and Jonathan share four children together.
Sandra says both she and Harry thought Frida was "lovely" when Jamie first introduced her to them and admires her for how she co-parents with her ex-husband.
"And just like Jamie is with his two sons, Frida’s ex is very much involved in raising their kids, and I think that is so important", she says.
