Sandra Bullock has scattered the ashes of her late partner Bryan Randall into a river honouring the photographer’s final requests.
Bullock scattered Randall’s ashes into the Snake River in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, at the end of last month, the Hollywood star’s sister confirmed.
Bullock-Prado, 59, shared on Instagram on 30 December 2023 that Bullock released Randall’s ashes below a clip of the landscape.
She wrote: “Happy birthday, Bry. Sandy brought you to the river, just as she promised.”
In August, Randall’s family confirmed he’d passed away three years after being diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which is also known as motor neurone disease.
He first met Bullock in 2015 after he photographed her adopted son Louis, now 13. They have been in a relationship ever since and raised the star’s adopted daughter Laila, 11, and his daughter Skylar together.
Bullock had never spoken publicly about her partner’s condition.
She rarely spoke about her relationship, but in late 2021 the actor addressed her relationship while appearing on Red Table Talk, calling Randall a “saint.”
After his passing, Bullock-Prado praised her Academy Award-winning sibling for the way she nursed her long-time partner in secret.
“I’m convinced that Bry has found the best fishing spot in heaven and is already casting his lure into rushing rivers teaming with salmon.
“ALS is a cruel disease but there is some comfort in knowing he had the best of caretakers in my amazing sister and the band of nurses she assembled who helped her look after him in their home.”
Bullock-Prado concluded the post by writing: “Rest in peace, Bryan.”
