Sandi Toksvig has restored an area of woodland for Sandi’s Great British Woodland Restoration (Channel 4/PA) -

QI presenter Sandi Toksvig has said realising her “dream” of restoring a woodland helped her to regain her strength after a bout of bronchial pneumonia meant she could “hardly walk”.

It comes as the 66-year-old’s project will be documented in Sandi’s Great British Woodland Restoration, which will air on Channel 4 on Thursday.
