Sand artist creates giant first class stamp featuring portrait of The Queen on Bamburgh beach

An incredibly talented sand artist has created a giant first class postage stamp portrait on Bamburgh beach.

Claire Eason, 57, painstakingly constructed the piece using a garden rake to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee.

The astonishing tribute to Her Majesty The Queen was eye-catching from ground level, but witnessing the portrait from the air was when it became truly breathtaking. Claire, of Sunderland, decided upon the image of a first class stamp because it is one of the most recognisable of Queen Elizabeth.
