The San Antonio Spurs made it official by selecting French sensation Victor Wembanyama with the highly anticipated first overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft held in New York. The decision came as no surprise, as Wembanyama, a 19-year-old standout, has been hailed as the most sought-after draft prospect since LeBron James in 2003.

During the live broadcast on ESPN, Wembanyama expressed his overwhelming joy, stating, "This is a dream come true for me. I've imagined this moment my entire life, and hearing those words from Adam Silver made me emotional."
