The Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) will participate as a strategic sponsor at the second Saudi International Maritime Forum that will be organized by the Royal Saudi Navy in Jeddah between November 15 and 17, 2022, reported the Saudi Press Agency on Saturday.

The event will be held under the patronage of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.

SAMI CEO Eng. Walid Abu Khaled said the company, through its sponsorship of the second edition of the forum, stresses its pivotal role as a strategic national partner for defense industries through its effective presence in all events that are organized by the Ministry of Defense.

He noted that the company will take part in the forum under the umbrella of SAMI Sea, where it is scheduled to showcase its products on the marine industries and systems.

SAMI is seeking to benefit from promising opportunities that such major international forums provide in a way that can boost its status as a national strategic partner for defense industries in the Kingdom, he explained.

SAMI is participating in the forum along with the top local, regional and international companies that will display their latest equipment, technologies and systems in the field of maritime security.

The event will include an accompanying exhibition and several work sessions that will attract the elite of interested people and specialists from the military and experts in the fields of technology and industry, in addition to several ministries, public institutions, global companies and academics.

The forum, held under the theme “Protecting Marine Units and Vital Coastal Sites against the Threat of Unnamed Systems”, aims at exchanging views, discussing challenges facing marine units, coastal vital sites and means to protect them; and ways to deal with these threats and their impact on the global economy; and guaranteeing the safety of marine passages.
