Samar Akrouk has been appointed managing director of Saudi production powerhouse MBC Studios, taking over from the previous managing director, who recently left the post. Akrouk, who has been with MBC for nearly 30 years, currently serves as the group's director of production. MBC's upcoming projects include major productions like 'Desert Warrior' and 'Rise of the Witches,' both filmed in Neom along the Red Sea coast, featuring international and local talent.
