Samantha Mumba shows off age-defying looks as she makes stunning return to spotlight

Samantha Mumba doesn't look like she's aged a day in pics promoting her return to the spotlight.

The Irish singer, 39, was a huge star in the noughties thanks to singles including Gotta Tell You and Baby, Come Over.

The mum-of-one attempted to make comebacks with new singles in the past, but now she's set her sights on a new gig.

The stunning star has bagged a presenting role on Dublin radio's 98FM's Good Time Anthems and looks incredible in a recently released pic.

Smouldering against a red background, Samantha looked like she was ageing backwards sporting a daringly low-cut gold, glittery top.

Looking studiously at the camera, the singer's pink eye shadow and berry lip gloss set off her brunette curls a treat.

Samantha will present the Saturday night music show, which kicks off this weekend with the best of Old Skool and contemporary Dance and R&B Anthems

Speaking about her return to the spotlight she said: “I’m beyond excited to be joining the team at 98FM.

"As someone who grew up listening to the station and literally calling in with song requests so I could record them on my tape recorder this is a lovely full circle!”

Samantha has kept a relatively low profile since the glory days of Baby, Come Over.

However she did do Dancing On Ice in 2008 and was also apparently a target for Celebrity Big Brother producers.

A source close to the singer told the Mirror that Samantha didn't want to go into the "stressful environment" despite a reported huge six figure sum being offered to her.

They also said she was too busy concentrating on her music and is gearing up to start recording and performing once more.

The insider said: "She was on their list of people to ask every year but she kept turning it down - so they don’t bother asking anymore. Their last offer was well into the six figures, but she’d never do it. It’s just not for her.

"Obviously she’s not adverse to reality TV, having previously done Dancing on Ice and Celebrity Masterchef Ireland.

"She knows a lot of people who’ve done CBB and they’ve all said how stressful the environment can be."

Samantha married policeman Torray Scales and gave birth to the couple's first child, Sage, in 2015.
