Sam Thompson gushed over his “brother” and best pal Pete Wicks in a sweet post on Instagram following his 30th birthday.
The Made in Chelsea star jetted off to Marbella with his ex-Love Islander girlfriend Zara McDermott, 25, and a handful of close friends to celebrate the milestone.
Without Sam’s knowledge, Pete flew out to surprise him to celebrate his milestone birthday.
In a clip shared on Instagram, Sam can be seen walking through a restaurant before spotting Pete in the corner, excitedly pulling him in for a hug.
"You didn’t think I’d miss your 30th did you… @samthompsonuk - Happy birthday you complete pr***," Pete captioned the heart-warming clip.
Sam has now shared a post dedicated to his TV, saying he feels “emotional” following the birthday surprise.
He said: “Two of the most important role models in my life. My dad and my brother. One super posh and the other born in juvie.
“This photo actually makes me quite emotional as lame as that is hahah can’t thank you enough @p_wicks01 for coming out and braving me and my mates for 3 days!
“Honestly made my birthday.”
The picture shows Sam embracing Pete at what looks to be the pool party they all attended on Sam’s big day earlier this week.
Pete responded: “Overly dramatic and sentimental.”
One fan replied: “love this... You are both mint and make smile whenever I see your videos... Keep up the good work... Huge fan.”
Another said: “You two actually make me cry with laughter and emotion.”
“Love the relationship you both have,” said a third.
Speaking on his big day, Sam said: “Today I am thirty! I spent the day with my nearest and dearest, and I am so full of gratitude.
“Thank you to my beautiful girlfriend for organising the trip of a lifetime I love you so much, I still wake up thinking it’s all a dream.
“Thanks to Pete for the best birthday surprise I’ve ever had. I am truly thankful.”
He also sent thanks to his Instagram fans who have followed his life online and on Made in Chelsea.
He added: “Also to you all. Some of whom have seen me grow since I was 21 (9 years ago!). We have come a long way! And we’ve only just started.”
