Sam Smith has been misgendered again as they correct The One Show 's Alex Jones' 'fisherthem' comment.
The star appeared on the BBC show where they revealed they have a secret fishing hobby which they'd like to pursue further after music.
They said they'd like to become a 'fisher-them' on the programme.
However, the non-binary popstar had to correct presenter Alex as she asked whether they would like to be a fly fisherman.
Sam, who uses the pronouns they/them, appeared on the show following their iconic Brit Awards performance.
Fellow One Show host Ronan Keating asked Sam: "You're a big fan of fishing?"
The singer replied: "I do love fishing, yes! Yeah, I'd love to be a fisher-them."
Alex asked them: "What, like a fly fisherman?"
Sam corrected her by saying: "I'd be any type of fisher-them.
"I think I would like to, one day, I'd just like to end my days fishing. Like sitting on a bank."
They added: "I do it on the sea and I do it on lakes. I've never done it alone, someone's almost taught me."
Sam recently was involved in a controversial BRIT Awards performance that received multiple complaints.
They performed their new smash hit single Unholy along with Kim Petras at London's 02 which amassed more than 100 Ofcom complaints.
A spokesperson for Ofcom told MailOnline : "We received 106 complaints about The BRIT Awards on ITV1 on 11 February.
"The majority of complaints related to Sam Smith’s performance, with the remainder about the use of offensive language and consumption of alcohol."
It wasn't the first time Sam made headlines during the show as their outfit choice caught some eyes.
The singer opted for a black latex balloon-like outfit, made by fashion designer Harri.
It came just a week after Sam was slammed for their Grammy performance of the same song.
They were accused of a "satanic" performance as the set took on a devil theme, with Sam and Kim dressed in red outfits.
