Sam Ryder will perform the national anthem at this weekend’s Formula 1 race at Silverstone, having enjoyed a monumental rise to fame over the last few months.
The Space Man singer, who had amassed millions of followers on TikTok prior to representing the UK at Eurovision, exceeded all expectations, including his own by finishing second at the annual event, bringing the UK’s bleak run of results to an end, after delivering a phenomenal performance in Turin.
After being seen by scores of viewers across the globe, Sam was then given the huge honour of being on the bill for the Platinum Party at the Palace for the Queen’s Jubilee, joining music legends like Diana Ross and Queen for the special concert outside of Buckingham Palace.

And he will honour the Queen once again when he sings the National Anthem in front of drivers, racing teams and spectators at Silverstone, as well as performing on stage afterwards.
Speaking about getting to sing at t he world famous Formula 1 circuit, Sam, who recently joined the cast of Celebrity Gogglebox said: am Ryder says: “From Eurovision to being invited to play the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Concert, the past few months have been a whirlwind and taught me that you can never dream too big!
“Since I was a kid I’ve always been a huge fan of Formula 1, and to combine that with music and performing at such a legendary event on the British sporting calendar is an honour.”
