Sam North full of praise for north Belfast derby in latest Footy Adventures

Sam North has covered some of the biggest games of football across the globe as a football YouTuber, but the Irish League has made a big impression on him.

North, whose Footy Adventures channel has more than 150,000 subscribers, visited Northern Ireland in this past week documenting the BetMcLean League Cup final on Sunday as well as Monday night's north Belfast derby between Crusaders and Cliftonville.

The full-blooded affair at Seaview clearly made a big impression on the vlogger as he tweeted afterwards that he had had a better time on the Shore Road than he had at the Madrid derby last season!

High praise indeed from a man who clearly knows and loves his football.

"I had a better time at the North Belfast derby last night than I did at the Madrid derby last season. Value for money off the scale," North tweeted on his official Twitter page.

As you can imagine his tweet went down well with Irish League fans and North said he hoped to come back to go to a game at Solitude after one Reds fan extended an invite.

North was also full of praise for Sunday's League Cup final as Linfield ran out 2-0 winners over Coleraine.

It was his second League Cup final in as many weeks after he covered the recent Celtic/Rangers final in Scotland.

His video from Sunday has been watched over 27,000 times so far as North documented his trip over to Belfast and the events at Windsor Park.

He was able to reflect on the action in a quiet stadium late on Sunday evening enjoying a beer kindly supplied by the victorious Blues team in what he called "the coolest outro".

"What a moment," North said at the end of his vlog. " On the pitch after a cup final!

"Thank you so much for all the support, it really does mean a lot since I've started this channel to be able to do things like this.

"This was always the dream, this was always the aim, the ambition to get to places like this.

"I didn't know exactly, when or where or how but three and a bit years later here I am.

"Northern Ireland, what a cool place to come and watch football."

He is also planning to upload his video from the north Belfast derby on Tuesday afternoon.
