Sam Mayer is going back to JR Motorsports in a new deal for 2027

Sam Mayer JR Motorsports JRM Dale [ Earnhardt ] Jr. Chevrolet

Sam Mayer will leave Haas Factory Team at the end of the 2026 NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series season with plans to return to JR Motorsports (JRM).

Mayer will pilot the No. 1 JRM Chevrolet, and previously drove for the Earnhardt-owned team from 2021 through 2024. Starkey will serve as his primary sponsor for the majority of the 2027 season.
